Instead of snapping together pre-formed plastic pieces, children cut real wooden sticks using the included safe wood cutter and connect them with smart links to build their own original structures and models. There’s no template to follow — children design and engineer their own creations from the ground up, using real materials and a real (safe) cutting tool. Eco-friendly, screen-free, and deeply engaging for children who want more than standard building sets offer. The safe wood cutter and open-ended design process require more focus and fine motor control than the clip-together Beaver 60pc and 100pc sets, making it the right choice for older children who are ready for a more hands-on, tool-based building experience.

Is the wood cutter actually safe for children?

Yes — the included wood cutter is specifically engineered for safe use by children aged 8+. It cuts the wooden sticks cleanly and effectively while being designed to minimise the risk of injury. As with any tool-based activity, adult supervision is recommended, particularly for first-time use.

How is this different from the Beaver 60pc and 100pc construction sets?

The Beaver Models Kit is a fundamentally different building experience.
