Hold the Night Sky in Your Hands — Find & Name Stars and Constellations in Real Time!

Step outside on a clear night, point the Navir Stellarscope at the sky, and instantly know what you’re looking at. This precision-engineered star-finding instrument gives kids and adults a real, working map of the night sky — calibrated to the exact date, time, and location — so you can identify stars and constellations with confidence, not guesswork.

With its retro styling and genuinely useful optics, the Stellarscope is the kind of instrument that turns a casual glance at the night sky into a proper stargazing session. It’s not a toy — it’s a real tool that works, and kids who use it come away knowing the names of the stars above their heads.

What’s Included

  • 1 x Navir Stellarscope — precision-engineered star-finding instrument
  • Northern and Southern Hemisphere star maps — both included
  • Multiple latitude adaptors — adjustable field of view for different locations across Australia and beyond
  • Built-in torch — illuminate the star map when ambient light is low
  • Rotating date/time/month sections — calibrate to any date and time of any year
  • ✅ Recommended for ages 10 and up
  • ✅ By Navir — precision optical instruments for curious minds

How It Works

The Stellarscope has three independently rotating sections. Simply line up the month and date with the current time using the white alignment markings, then hold the scope vertically with the poles correctly oriented (east facing east, west facing west). Look through the eyepiece, adjust the focus by moving the eyepiece in or out until the star map is sharp, then compare what you see through the scope with the visible night sky to identify and name stars and constellations.

When it’s too dark to see the map clearly, shine the included torch onto the opposite end of the eyepiece to illuminate the star map from behind.

Why Kids and Families Love It

  • Works for any date and time of any year — a genuinely useful instrument, not a one-off activity
  • Both hemispheres included — perfect for Australia, with the Southern Hemisphere map ready to use
  • Adjustable for latitude — accurate field of view for your specific location
  • Track stars and constellations over time as they move across the sky through the seasons
  • Retro styling — looks and feels like a real scientific instrument (because it is)
  • ✅ A top astronomy and stargazing tool for kids aged 10+ in Australia

Frequently Asked Questions

What age is the Stellarscope suitable for?

The Stellarscope is recommended for ages 10 and up. It’s especially popular with curious kids and teens aged 10–15 who are interested in astronomy, space, and the night sky, as well as adults who enjoy stargazing.

Does it work in Australia?

Yes — the Stellarscope includes both Northern and Southern Hemisphere star maps, plus latitude adaptors for different field-of-view settings. It’s fully usable across Australia and can be configured for your specific latitude.

Does it work for any date and time?

Yes — the three rotating sections allow you to calibrate the Stellarscope to any date and time of any year. It’s a permanent, reusable instrument — not a one-off activity.

What does the torch do?

The included torch is used to illuminate the internal star map when it’s too dark to see it clearly through the eyepiece. Shine it onto the end opposite the eyepiece to backlight the map.

Can it track constellations over time?

Is this a good gift for kids interested in space?

Absolutely! It’s one of the best astronomy and space gifts for kids aged 10+ in Australia — a real, working instrument that delivers genuine results and sparks lasting curiosity about the universe.
