Sphero Mini Activity Kit: Build a Course, Code Your Next Move
A homemade maze. A miniature bowling lane. A robot ready to put your ideas to the test. The Sphero Mini Activity Kit gives children aged 8+ a playful way to explore building, robotics and coding, with a golf-ball-sized robotic ball at the centre of the action.
Use the 28-piece construction set, pins and cones to create a challenge, then drive Mini through it using the Sphero Play app or program its movements with Sphero Edu. With 15 step-by-step Activity Cards to get things rolling, there’s a starting point for the first session and plenty of room for children’s own ideas afterwards.

Why Kids (and Parents) Love It
A reason to start building: create mazes, obstacle courses, towers, bowling lanes and croquet challenges using the included pieces.
Guidance without limiting imagination: follow an Activity Card, then change the layout or invent a new challenge.
See instructions turn into movement: programming a real robot makes it easy to observe what worked and what needs adjusting.
Different ways to play: steer with Joystick, Tilt or Slingshot in Sphero Play, or use Mini as a physical controller for in-app arcade games.
Room to develop coding skills: explore block-based programming in Sphero Edu, with JavaScript text coding available for more advanced experiments.
Build, test and rethink: if Mini misses a turn or knocks a pin off course, children can adjust the construction or code and try again.
Good to Know Before You Buy
This is an app-enabled kit, so a compatible Bluetooth-enabled device is needed. Sphero Play is for driving and games; Sphero Edu offers coding tools and learning activities. Both apps are free to download. Check current app availability and device requirements before buying.
Mini has a rechargeable battery and comes with a USB charging cable. The listed drive time is approximately 45 minutes per charge, with charging taking around 60 minutes. Actual runtime varies with use.
The kit is recommended for ages 8+. Children can begin with driving and guided activities before moving into coding, rather than needing programming experience from the start.
