Build a working catapult, put together a spring-loaded car or create a room-to-room message carrier. Gears & Gadgets from Science To The Max gives curious builders over 150 pieces to explore engineering and mechanics through hands-on projects, then try ideas of their own.

• Hands-on practice: assembling the models gives children a chance to practise fine motor skills.
• More than one project to explore: switch from a catapult to a car or message carrier for a different building challenge.
• Easier pack-up: the included bag helps keep the building pieces together.

Good to Know Before You Buy

This is a construction activity set, so the fun starts with assembling the models rather than opening a ready-built toy. The instructions provide three projects to get started, while the pieces can also be used for imaginative builds.

Check the packaging for the manufacturer's age recommendation and safety guidance before use.
