Smart Lab Toys: That's Gross Science Lab Green

Smart Lab That's Gross Science Lab: wonderfully gross chemistry for ages 8+

A toilet bowl mixer, a garbage can shaker and maggot moulds? This is no ordinary chemistry set. Smart Lab That's Gross Science Lab turns the disgusting side of science into a hands-on adventure, with experiments that look, smell and feel gross while introducing real chemistry concepts.

Pick an experiment from the colourful book, gather the household ingredients it calls for and get exploring. Along the way, kids discover chemical reactions, polymers, diffusion and gas expansion, with plenty of opportunities to ask, “Why did that happen?”

Good to Know Before You Buy

Recommended for ages 8 and up. Household ingredients are needed in addition to the included lab equipment, so read your chosen experiment before getting started. This is a deliberately gross, hands-on activity set, so choose a workspace where a little mess is welcome.

The mixer is motorised, but battery type, quantity and inclusion are not specified in the available product information. Check the packaging or instructions before use, and follow the instructions for each experiment.
