Stacking Train - Viga

A Wooden Stacking Train That Does More Than Just Roll — Ages 18 Months+

The Viga Stacking Train is a beautifully made beech wood toy that combines two classics — a pull-along train and a stacking toy — into one. Fourteen bright, chunky wooden blocks slot onto rods on the flatcars, giving little hands the satisfying challenge of placing each piece in just the right spot. When the stacking is done, the whole train rolls smoothly across the floor. And when the mood changes, the cars detach so kids can play with each one separately, use the blocks for free stacking and sorting, or simply push the train around the room.

What’s in the Box

• Viga Stacking Train — engine plus flatcars
• 14 chunky wooden stacking blocks in assorted bright colours
• String for pull-along play

Why Kids (and Parents) Love It

• Stacking and sorting built into the train itself: The blocks slot onto rods on the flatcars — a natural fine motor challenge that keeps toddlers focused without any added complexity. No loose pieces to scatter, no small parts to worry about.
• Detachable cars extend play: Each car unlinks from the next, so the train can be shortened, rearranged, or played with car by car. Toddlers who aren’t ready for the whole train can start with one car and build from there.
• Blocks work as a standalone set: Off the train, the 14 blocks are a fully functional stacking and sorting toy — good for colour matching, towers, and imaginative building without the train.
• Smooth-rolling and pull-along ready: The train rolls easily on any hard floor surface and comes with a string for pull-along play — a movement milestone that toddlers love to practise.
• High-quality beech wood construction: Solid, smooth-sanded beech wood with non-toxic, child-safe finishes. Built to handle the enthusiasm of toddler play without chipping or splintering.

Frequently Asked Questions

What age is the Viga Stacking Train suited for?

Recommended from 18 months. The chunky blocks and easy-grip design are well-suited for toddlers who are developing pincer grip and hand-eye coordination. The pull-along and sorting elements provide good developmental challenge through ages 2–4.

How many blocks are included?

The set includes 14 wooden blocks in assorted bright colours. The blocks slot onto rods on the flatcars and can also be used independently for stacking, sorting, and free play.

Can the cars be detached?

Yes — each flatcar detaches from the next, allowing the train to be shortened or played with car by car. This makes the toy more flexible for younger toddlers who may find the full train length a bit much to start with.

What is the train made from?

The Viga Stacking Train is made from high-quality beech wood with smooth-sanded surfaces and non-toxic, child-safe paint finishes. Beech wood is a dense, durable hardwood well-suited to children’s toys — it resists denting and splintering better than softer timbers.
