The Gecko Run Rapid Fire Expansion Pack adds a semi-automatic Rapid-Fire Launcher to your vertical Gecko Run marble run — press the button and send up to five marbles onto the track in rapid succession. Two magazines are included: one loads into the launcher to fire, the other collects marbles at the end of the run for easy reloading. The pack also includes over 20 additional track pieces to extend the reach of your run across more walls, doors, windows, and surfaces. Tracks are made from renewable raw materials and produced in Germany. Requires the Gecko Run Starter Set or Big Box. Ages 8+.

Why the Rapid Fire Launcher Changes the Experience

Every other Gecko Run expansion adds a new movement type — a loop, a snake, a twister, a trampoline, spinner gears. The Rapid Fire Launcher adds something different: a new way to start the run. Instead of placing one marble at the top and watching it descend, the launcher fires five marbles in quick sequence — which means five simultaneous descents, overtaking, interacting, and arriving at the collection magazine at the bottom in rapid succession. The dual-magazine system (fire from one, collect into the other) means the reload cycle is fast enough to keep up with the play pace. It’s the expansion that turns a marble run into a marble race.

Gecko Run is Thames Kosmos’ vertical marble run system — tracks mount directly onto walls, windows, tiles, doors, or any smooth flat surface using nano-adhesive technology, keeping the run off the floor and easy to store when not in use. The system has no support structures, so tracks can go higher with fewer pieces. Every expansion pack integrates with the Starter Set and with each other, letting the marble run grow over time.

Do I need the Starter Set first?

Yes — the Rapid Fire Expansion Pack requires the Gecko Run Starter Set or the Gecko Run Big Box as the base. The expansion adds the launcher, magazines, and additional track sections on top of the existing system; it does not include the full track foundation needed to run a complete course.

Does the launcher need batteries?

No — the Rapid-Fire Launcher is a mechanical spring-loaded mechanism, not electronic. No batteries, no charging. Press the button to release the spring and fire the marble; the mechanism resets automatically for the next marble in the magazine.

Can it be combined with other Gecko Run expansion packs?

Yes — all Gecko Run expansion packs are compatible with each other and with the Starter Set. The Rapid Fire Launcher works particularly well in a large combined build where the 20+ additional track pieces can be used to extend a run that already includes loops, snakes, twisters, or spinners.
